About the Role

The Structural Engineer 4 position is a full‑time, hands‑on role that reports to the Civil/Structural Director. The role involves designing equipment foundations, towers, building structures, pipe racks, platforms, and other structural components for heavy industrial and manufacturing facilities. Work is performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with up to 20 % travel. Key responsibilities include executing structural calculations, coordinating with other discipline engineers, performing site layouts, reviewing vendor drawings, and writing structural analysis reports. The engineer also collaborates with AutoCAD designers to develop 3‑D models and construction drawings, creates contractor scopes of work, and writes specifications for pre‑engineered metal buildings and geotechnical matters. Additional duties involve preparing bid packages, bills of material, reviewing shop drawings, answering RFIs, and supporting other project tasks as assigned. • Design equipment foundations, towers, building structures, pipe racks, and platforms for heavy industrial facilities. • Perform structural calculations, site layouts, and prepare analysis reports. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers, AutoCAD designers, and vendors; review drawings and models for accuracy. • Create construction documents, specifications, contractor scopes, and bid packages. • Review shop drawings, answer RFIs, and manage bills of material.

What You Bring

The position requires at least ten years of structural engineering experience on multidisciplinary projects, a Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer license, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Candidates must have three or more years of leadership experience, excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem‑solving abilities, and proficiency with engineering software. A valid driver’s license and the ability to make independent decisions are also required. • Provide 10+ years of structural engineering experience and hold a PE or Structural Engineer license. • Demonstrate 3+ years of leadership experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. • Maintain proficiency with engineering software and possess a valid driver’s license.
