Job Highlights
About the Role
• Inspect and monitor contractor installation of water and wastewater capital projects to ensure compliance with company specifications and proper placement of mains and appurtenances. • Enforce the company's safety program on construction sites, applying OSHA regulations and work‑zone safety procedures. • Maintain and file record drawings of plan changes and keep detailed records of installed mains, valves, service lines, and other appurtenances. • Generate daily construction inspection reports, track quantities installed, and regularly communicate project status to the supervisor. • Verify contractor payment applications and change‑order requests, and assist with negotiations as needed. • Review proposed construction plans for omissions and constructability issues. • Serve as the primary professional contact for customers, residents, vendors, municipal officials, and regulators regarding construction‑related concerns. • Perform additional administrative and operational duties and provide support to other departments as directed. • Travel out of town for Aqua construction inspections, including overnight stays for multiple nights or weeks.
