About the Role
Candidates can attend on‑the‑spot interviews on any Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 4521 Steelway Blvd, Liverpool, NY. Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear lift attachments, transport waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb, and navigate high‑traffic roads, driveways, alleys, and lot environments. Key responsibilities include following Waste Management safety and DOT regulations, completing pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and DVIR documentation, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, communicating customer requests, dumping containers, maintaining clean sites, and completing end‑of‑day paperwork. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to transport waste/recyclables. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, service interruptions, and customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Follow assigned routes, dump containers, keep customer sites clean, and complete end‑of‑day documentation.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a CDL‑Class A or B vehicle with an air‑brake endorsement (or equivalent military driving within the past seven years), be at least 18 years old, and be legally authorized to work in the United States; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role requires physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
