About the Role

The position is responsible for monitoring and expediting material orders to ensure on‑time delivery, coordinating among suppliers, buyers, and production teams to avoid shortages or delays. Core duties include tracking purchasing award summaries, developing commodity‑team strategies aligned with global purchasing and logistics objectives, creating sourcing lists, monitoring supplier performance, and confirming shipment dates. The role also requires aggressive resolution of pricing, invoicing, and contract issues, negotiation of pricing and annual contracts, analysis and benchmarking of supplier costs, and maintaining open communication with internal departments, management, and suppliers. What You Bring

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Materials Management, Business Finance, or possess extensive relevant experience, and be able to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis. Preferred qualifications include strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, experience handling confidential matters, proficiency in purchasing practices, financial analysis, blueprint interpretation, SAP, and knowledge of off‑highway diesel engine commodities; German language skills are advantageous. • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Materials Management, Business Finance, or related field; or 9 years relevant experience • Minimum 5 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain experience • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis • Experience handling confidential matters with discretion • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills • Proficiency in purchasing practices, financial analysis, and problem solving • Organizational, planning, and follow‑up abilities • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents • Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, or materials management processes • Proficient with PC, MS Office; SAP experience preferred • Specific knowledge of off‑highway diesel engine commodities; engineering or technical degree desirable • German language skills are a plus
