About the Role

The Sr. Manager, DOT Compliance leads Department of Transportation and fleet regulatory compliance for Mastec Renewables. This enterprise‑level role provides oversight and governance to ensure adherence to federal, state and company DOT standards while supporting safe, efficient field operations. The manager acts as senior subject‑matter expert and escalation point, partnering with Equipment, Safety, Operations, HR, Legal and regulators to reduce risk and improve compliance outcomes. Key responsibilities include governing the DOT compliance framework in line with FMCSA and state regulations, coordinating documentation across departments, and acting as primary liaison for DOT audits, inspections and regulatory inquiries. The manager leads internal audits, trend analysis, corrective action planning, and monitors compliance metrics to provide visibility into risk exposure and audit readiness. Additional duties involve overseeing CSA BASIC tracking, ensuring post‑incident processes are executed, and guiding regional compliance activities. The role may involve site visits where exposure to hazards, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, noise and other environmental conditions is possible, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions. The manager must uphold personal and team health and safety while supporting compliance‑related training for drivers, supervisors, safety staff and field leadership. • Govern enterprise DOT compliance framework per FMCSA and state regulations • Coordinate and oversee DOT compliance documentation across Equipment, Safety, HR, and Operations • Serve as primary liaison during DOT audits, inspections and regulatory inquiries • Lead internal DOT audits, trend analysis, and corrective action planning across regions • Establish and monitor DOT compliance metrics for risk exposure and audit readiness • Develop and maintain fleet‑related DOT compliance standards and procedures • Oversee CSA BASIC compliance tracking, trend analysis and action planning • Ensure consistent execution of post‑incident processes with proper documentation • Provide guidance to regional DOT and fleet compliance activities • Deliver DOT compliance and post‑incident training for drivers and field leadership • Verify accuracy and audit‑readiness of DOT‑regulated maintenance and inspection records • Advise Equipment and Operations leadership on compliance risks and mitigation strategies • Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition on role requirements and training expectations • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce regulatory risk and operational disruption

What You Bring

Candidates must have an associate degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, with at least seven years of progressive DOT or fleet compliance leadership, preferably supporting multi‑region or large fleet operations. Required skills include strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, ability to analyze trends, assess risk and drive corrective actions, and excellent communication to influence senior leaders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet/construction management systems, as well as a commitment to safety and the company's Zero Injury principles, are essential. • Minimum seven years progressive DOT or fleet compliance leadership experience • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations • Ability to analyze trends, assess risk and implement corrective actions • Excellent communication skills to influence senior leaders • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet/construction management systems
