Security Installer III

About the Role

In this role you will install complex integrated security systems—wiring, equipment and programming for access control, CCTV, digital and network recorders, and intercoms—at customer sites. You will interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications, conduct system checks, troubleshoot using electronic test equipment, and provide end‑user training. • Install cabling, field equipment, and control enclosures per NEC and company guidelines. • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, submittals, and software programs. • Perform system checks, adjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and verify operation. • Feed cables through walls, roofs, and cavities; drill holes and terminate wiring. • Conduct end‑user training on installed security systems. • Complete and submit all required job paperwork.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has a high‑school diploma or equivalent, at least three years’ experience with digital and analog camera systems and access control, and two years’ experience with IP‑addressable security devices. Strong computer literacy, TCP/IP networking skills, and a clean driving record are required; an associate degree, technical training, or recognized apprenticeship is preferred. • Minimum 3+ years experience with digital & analog camera systems. • Minimum 3+ years experience with access control systems. • At least 2+ years experience with IP‑addressable security devices. • Advanced TCP/IP networking and computer literacy. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • High school diploma/GED; associate degree or technical training preferred. • Certifications such as Prowatch C‑Cure, Kantech, Bosch, Pelco, Cisco, Genetec, Avigilon, Edwards Firelight, Honeywell, DSC, Alarm.com, etc.
