About the Role

The role manages the implementation and delivery of risk services for designated projects within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence, ensuring risk frameworks are applied, reports are produced and integration with planning disciplines is achieved. • Support risk management performance and implement risk frameworks for assigned projects. • Advise and administer the risk process, including escalation of key risks. • Facilitate and deliver risk workshops and quantitative risk analysis (cost and time). • Collaborate with Project Manager to identify mitigation opportunities and develop action plans. • Produce and deliver monthly risk reports to clients and internal teams, monitoring contingency. • Ensure activities comply with Mace Control Centre, client requirements and legislation. • Integrate risk management with PMO and Planning disciplines and support junior risk managers. • Contribute to net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing related emissions. • Utilise risk tools such as Active Risk Manager, riskHive, Primavera Risk Analyzer and Primavera P6. • Communicate effectively with clients, deliver persuasive presentations and build strong professional relationships.

The organisation’s values are Safety first, Client focus, Integrity, and Creating opportunity for people to excel. • Demonstrate knowledge of the construction project lifecycle across sectors (rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals). • Exhibit commercial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to influence and coach teams. • Manage challenging behaviours, maintain resilience in difficult situations and adapt pragmatically. • Hold up to 5 years experience in construction risk management with a relevant university degree or equivalent. • Possess skills in risk/data analytics, Power BI and basic proficiency with risk software tools. • Progress towards chartered status or membership of a professional risk or project management institution. • Hold technical qualifications such as ISO 19650, APM IM or related certifications.
