About the Role

The Senior Accountant provides oversight and direction regarding primary accounting, bill payment/processing, financial support, and, as needed, administrative/clerical support for the Financial Manager and Property/Facility Managers. This position works closely with a Financial Manager and maintains and updates financial records using databases, spreadsheets, and accounting systems that track expenditures, revenue, receipts, cash flow, and other financial activities. The role exercises a high degree of discretion and independent judgment, typically supervises Accounting Coordinators and Accountants, and may act as an internal consultant on finance, accounting, tax, and billing matters. • Oversee invoice preparation, data entry, accuracy verification, coding, and record keeping for property management submissions. • Develop and maintain financial transaction records, verifying, allocating, and posting details to subsidiary accounts from source documents. • Oversee preparation and submission of expense report documentation, securing approvals and ensuring compliance with procedures and policies. • Prepare and compile reports and analyses on cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable/receivable, profit and loss, and maintain updated ledgers and computer files. • Supervise Accountants and Accounting Coordinators. • Manage accounts payable or receivable functions, including billing/invoicing, cash receipts, data entry, budgeting, expenses, sales receipts, vendor contracts, timesheets, payroll, and assigned administrative duties. • Oversee additional accounting, reporting, and record‑keeping functions as assigned.

Compensation for this role ranges from $65,960 to $77,600 and will be determined by factors such as collective bargaining coverage, geographic area, market rates, and candidate experience; the company will not pay less than minimum wage.
