About the Role
Daily duties include checking in with the manager and client, completing and submitting all required forms and timesheets, handling receipts and expense documentation, securing parts and tools, assisting other technicians, answering office communications promptly, reporting warranty repairs, and providing training to Level 1 technicians. The technician must also follow company policies, respect non‑disclosure agreements and maintain safety equipment at all times. • Perform daily check‑ins with manager and client and complete all required paperwork. • Use time‑clock systems and submit receipts with proper job numbers. • Secure parts/tools, assist other technicians, and report warranty repairs promptly. • Provide training to Level 1 Field Service Technicians. • Follow all company policies, NDAs, and maintain safety equipment.

What You Bring
The Field Services Technician will support equipment commissioning and post‑sales service activities, working independently and with the team while exercising sound judgment in the field. The role requires self‑motivation, reliability and the ability to deliver high‑quality service with minimal supervision. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be a registered apprentice in electrical or HVAC, and possess a solid understanding of electrical and control systems, HVAC principles, 3‑phase versus single‑phase wiring, Ohm’s law and multimeter use. They should be able to read mechanical drawings, maintain accurate records, lift 40 lb, work at heights, and hold a valid driver’s license and passport. Preferred qualifications include certifications as a refrigeration/HVAC technician, controls technician, electrician journeyman, or related tradesperson, as well as experience in highly sensitive or mission‑critical facilities. Familiarity with industry design and construction codes, Windows and Microsoft Office is also valued. The position requires travel to local and sometimes international job sites, on‑call and overtime availability, compliance with PPE and uniform standards, good hygiene, and the ability to pass a DOD background check proving U.S. citizenship. It is a safety‑sensitive role that supports Johnson Controls’ mission to make buildings smarter and more sustainable. • Must hold high school diploma/GED and be a registered electrical or HVAC apprentice. • Understand basic electrical, control systems, HVAC, 3‑phase wiring, Ohm’s law, and multimeter use. • Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintain accurate records. • Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to lift 40 lb and work at heights. • Preferred certifications: refrigeration/HVAC tech, controls tech, electrician journeyman. • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, pass DOD background check, and wear required PPE and uniform.
