About the Role

The Audio‑Visual Labor Helper provides essential hands‑on support for the installation, maintenance, and operation of AV/IT equipment used in meetings, presentations, and events. Working closely with Audio Visual Technicians, the role involves moving equipment, preparing work areas, and performing routine physical tasks to ensure efficient system setup and upkeep. • Load, unload, and transport audio‑visual equipment to and from work sites. • Set up cables, mounts, and protective coverings to prepare work areas for AV/IT installations. • Assist Audio Visual Technicians with tools, lifting, positioning, testing, and repair tasks. • Clean and organize AV/IT equipment and storage areas. • Follow safety guidelines to prevent equipment damage and personal injury. • Perform routine tasks such as cable pulling, mounting support, basic wiring, painting, wall repair, and equipment assembly/disassembly under supervision. • Communicate progress to managers, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies. • Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lb; work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and various environmental conditions.

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. • Obtain a secret clearance within 120 days of hire; be a U.S. citizen. • Be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays; pass background check and drug test. • Preferred: familiarity with audio‑visual systems and Extron AV Associate certification.
