Construction Representative

About the Role
The role includes observing and inspecting ongoing construction work to ensure it aligns with plans and specifications, preparing daily construction reports, supporting document control processes, and assisting with preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolution. You will provide information to project and construction managers to define the need for change orders, extra work, or supplemental agreements, communicate with clients, contractors, and employees, and read plans and specifications to ensure compliance. • Observe and inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. • Prepare daily construction reports and support document control processes. • Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolution. • Provide information for change orders, extra work, and supplemental agreements. • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams. • Read and interpret plans and specifications to verify construction accuracy.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of relevant construction field experience as a representative or inspector, a valid active driver’s license, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in a related field, knowledge of project management information systems such as e‑Builder or Buzzsaw, and certifications like DOT technical, ACI I, APWA, Level I NICET, or ENV SWPPP, which may substitute for experience. • Possess at least 3 years of construction representative or inspector experience. • Hold a valid active driver’s license and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. • Preferred: Associate’s degree and knowledge of project management information systems (e‑Builder, Buzzsaw, etc.). • Preferred: Certifications such as DOT technical, ACI I, APWA, Level I NICET, or ENV SWPPP.
