About the Role
The Porter/Matron (On Call Cleaner, Part‑Time) at C&W Services is a key member of the operations team, responsible for daily and periodic cleaning and general maintenance to keep facilities clean, safe, and well‑maintained. The role involves a variety of custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, hard‑floor and carpet care, and pressure washing, with specific assignments determined by customer expectations, supervisor direction, and the employee’s skill level. Employees must maintain a tidy work environment, follow approved cleaning procedures, safely operate and maintain equipment, monitor supply inventories, use proper personal protective equipment, and adhere to quality standards set by both the client and C&W Services. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the onboarding and training of new team members, following security protocols, reporting any unsafe conditions or breaches, and communicating issues or improvement opportunities to management. • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks in assigned areas. • Keep janitorial closets and storage spaces clean and organized. • Follow C&W Services-approved cleaning procedures and protocols. • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely; report issues. • Monitor and replenish cleaning supply inventory. • Use appropriate personal protective equipment for each task. • Meet or exceed client and company quality standards. • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members. • Follow security protocols and report breaches. • Identify and communicate issues or improvement opportunities.

What You Bring
No prior custodial experience is required; candidates must be able to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, exhibit high attention to detail, possess strong organizational skills, and have the physical stamina for manual tasks. Preferred qualifications include 6 months to 1 year of advanced custodial experience (floor care, carpet maintenance) and the ability to read and speak English. • No prior custodial experience required; follow instructions and work independently or in a team. • Demonstrate high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid work ethic. • Physically capable of manual tasks requiring energy and endurance. • Willingness to wear PPE and adhere to safety procedures. • Preferred: 6‑12 months advanced custodial experience (floor care, carpet maintenance). • Preferred: Ability to read and speak English.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $24.70 per hour, with competitive pay based on location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements.
