The apprenticeship offers hands‑on HVAC knowledge, factory certification through the Service Technical Academy, and tools and a vehicle to perform work to high standards. Apprentices are trained to service HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites, participate in certified training, receive coaching and mentorship, and develop troubleshooting and customer‑service skills while keeping JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress. Candidates must be members or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices, have at least one year of industry experience or mechanical servicing experience, possess knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, and meet safety and licensing requirements; a trade‑school or college background is preferred. • Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices (AFL‑CIO). • Minimum 1 + year experience in the HVAC industry or servicing mechanical systems. • Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation, and equipment installation. • Strong interpersonal and professional representation skills. • Leadership ability to support mechanics on non‑complex HVAC equipment. • Self‑starter attitude with ability to work independently. • Commitment to safety and a valid driver’s license. • Preferred: 1–2 years of trade school or college technical education.
