About the Role
In this role the operator continuously monitors the Facility Control System—primarily using Metasys—validates alarms, creates work orders, and documents shift activities. The incumbent also performs minor HVAC maintenance, responds to fire‑alarm notifications, and coordinates with technicians to resolve issues. • Monitor and operate Building Automation and Control Systems, handling equipment and system alarms via GUIs and control programs. • Validate alarms and generate work orders in the CMMS for technician follow‑up. • Continuously oversee Facility Control Systems using Metasys to ensure proper operation. • Conduct shift turnover meetings and complete shift reports in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Perform minor HVAC maintenance such as filter changes, greasing, and preventative tasks. • Receive calls, dispatch personnel, and troubleshoot issues as needed. • Cross‑train to monitor and respond to the Fire Alarm system in addition to Facility Control Systems.

What You Bring
Candidates must have an active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance or one active within the past two years, solid knowledge of HVAC principles, and strong computer and communication skills. Preferred experience includes building‑operator work with Direct Digital Controls, Metasys, CMMS, and fire‑alarm systems, as well as certifications from HVAC technical schools. • Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance, or one active within the last two years. • Knowledge and competency in HVAC principles. • Proficiency with computers and relevant software. • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. • Self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision. • Experience as a building operator with Direct Digital Controls (DDC). • Familiarity with Metasys and CMMS work order creation. • Hands‑on HVAC mechanical maintenance and service background. • Experience with BAS (Building Automation System) platforms. • Experience with Honeywell Notifier fire‑alarm systems. • HVAC technical school training and certifications. • Metasys certification. • Fire‑alarm system (Honeywell Notifier) experience.

Benefits
The position offers an hourly rate of $45–$50, negotiable based on experience, plus a monthly living allowance and a car stipend. Employees are eligible for full benefits from day one, enjoy three weeks of paid vacation, five sick days, three floating holidays and ten standard holidays, and work a rotating 24/7/365 schedule with limited travel required.
