About the Role
This position is based at our Greenwood‑Emerald Rd. facility. The Group Leader ‑ 05 provides guidance and direction to teams and team leads to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production expectations. The role also includes performing direct labor work such as assembly, fabrication, or support functions. The incumbent works closely with operators, the Production Supervisor, and plant staff to maintain an efficient production flow while working safely to prevent injuries and reporting any unsafe conditions. They assist in planning and directing the manufacturing of orders to schedule and provide training, instruction, and production‑related guidance to employees. Responsibilities include establishing schedules for employees to review standard work and method sheets at each workstation, updating documents, and coordinating with supervision, OpEx, or management. The leader encourages continuous improvement in safety, quality, and Lean practices and maintains high levels of quality in assigned functional areas. In the supervisor’s absence, the Group Leader serves as backup to lead daily Tier 1 meetings, ensure visual boards are maintained with variances, and guide employees to comply with 5S+ at the start and end of each shift. They also work closely with quality teams to apply EQS standards to products and processes. • Provide guidance and direction to teams to meet safety, quality, and production standards. • Perform direct labor tasks in assembly, fabrication, or support functions. • Collaborate with operators, production supervisor, and plant staff to ensure efficient production flow. • Plan and direct manufacturing order schedules. • Train and instruct employees on production processes and standard work. • Update work documentation and coordinate with supervision, OpEx, or management. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, and Lean. • Serve as backup supervisor, leading daily Tier 1 meetings and maintaining visual boards. • Ensure 5S+ compliance at shift start and end. • Utilize precision measuring instruments and read wiring schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. • Adhere to equal employment opportunity policies and Fair Chance Ordinance.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing complex assembly, wiring, fitting, and modification work, as well as experience using precision measuring instruments and reading wiring schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and use SAP are also required. • Operate SAP and other computer systems effectively. • Meet required qualifications: High School diploma/GED, 1 year manufacturing experience, and relevant technical skills.
