About the Role

The mechanic maintains, services, inspects, and repairs combustion‑powered automotive vehicles, over‑the‑road trucks, light combat vehicles, and other motor transport equipment. Additional tasks are assigned as needed. • Maintain, service, inspect, and repair shipboard combustion‑powered vehicles and motor transport equipment • Perform additional assigned tasks related to vehicle upkeep • Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card and Secret clearance

What You Bring

The Marine Corps' Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida, with duty assignments aboard ships in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. KBR provides maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy, and is seeking a Shipboard Motor Transport Mechanic. Applicants must be high‑school graduates (or equivalent) with at least four years of directly related experience. Preferred education includes vocational certificates or coursework in electrical or automotive repair, and completion of basic, organizational, intermediate, and advanced motor transport maintenance courses. A valid passport, state driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Common Access Card, Secret clearance, and compliance with quality and schedule standards are required. • Minimum 4 years of relevant mechanical experience; high‑school diploma or equivalent • Vocational certification or coursework in automotive/electrical repair preferred • Complete basic, organizational, intermediate, and advanced motor transport maintenance courses • Hold a valid passport, state driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship
