About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhering to all state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key duties involve conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any issues. Drivers follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to load, compact, and transport waste to designated disposal facilities, while interacting professionally with customers and coworkers. They also identify and tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for prohibited items, clean spills according to safety policies, and keep the truck clean between trips. Documentation such as route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports are completed daily, and drivers meet productivity standards and participate in the company’s ReSOP safety program. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections (tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, controls). • Operate a collection truck safely along assigned routes, loading, compacting, and delivering waste to disposal sites. • Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to service each customer efficiently. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, ensuring timely and professional service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers and monitor waste for prohibited items. • Clean accidental waste spills in compliance with safety standards. • Maintain vehicle readiness by cleaning packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. • Complete daily route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Meet department productivity standards while adhering to all safety policies and the ReSOP program. • Participate in Employee Assistance Program and employee discount programs.

What You Bring
