About the Role

The New York City office is seeking a Senior Site Civil Project Manager based in Lower Manhattan to lead the execution and technical oversight of complex site civil and land development projects. The role will manage multidisciplinary teams and drive project delivery from concept through completion for multifamily residential, mixed‑use, commercial, industrial, institutional, electrical substation, and NYC Parks & Recreation projects, with a strong emphasis on stormwater management. The position requires overseeing project setup, budget approvals, cost monitoring, schedule development, and invoicing coordination while ensuring compliance with internal standards and client requirements. Technical leadership includes serving as the primary client liaison, directing consultants, coordinating with municipalities and regulatory agencies, managing construction contracts, and supervising stormwater design, reporting, permitting, and quality assurance. • Manage project setup and obtain budget approvals. • Monitor project costs, budgets, risks, and change orders. • Develop project schedules and coordinate invoicing. • Ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements. • Act as primary client contact for presentations and coordination. • Lead technical teams and consultants, enforcing design standards. • Coordinate with municipalities and regulatory agencies. • Oversee construction contract management and observation services. • Manage stormwater design, reporting, and permitting processes. • Prepare technical reports and permit applications. • Supervise and mentor junior engineers. • Ensure quality assurance/quality control on all deliverables. • Maintain client relations and business development skills.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BS in Civil Engineering and a current New York State PE (or be able to obtain one within six months). They should have at least seven years of site/land development experience, deep knowledge of local, state, and federal approval processes, extensive stormwater design and permitting expertise with NYC DEP, strong project management and client development skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The role emphasizes collaborative problem solving and mentorship of junior engineers. • Hold a BS in Civil Engineering and a current NY PE license. • Possess 7+ years of site/land development experience. • Demonstrate extensive stormwater management design and NYC DEP permitting expertise. • Exhibit strong project management, budget, and schedule control abilities. • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Benefits

The salary range is $115,000‑$150,000 annually, with final compensation based on knowledge, skills, and experience, plus a full suite of medical, financial, and other benefits.
