About the Role
The engineer will conduct testing and special inspections of soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry, interpret project plans for compliance, and interact with client representatives on site. Responsibilities also include preparing daily field reports, supporting project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and proposal writing, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, adhering to safety policies, and performing data analysis to ensure testing accuracy. • Perform soil, reinforced concrete, and masonry testing and special inspections on building sites. • Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with requirements. • Communicate with client supervisors, foremen, project managers, and engineers on site. • Prepare and submit concise daily field reports. • Assist project management with scheduling, budget tracking, invoicing, proposal writing, and business development. • Mentor early‑career construction material testing engineers. • Conduct analysis and calculations to verify testing data accuracy. • Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean driving record.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, have at least two years of construction materials testing experience, and possess EI/EIT and ACI Field Level I certifications. A valid driver’s license with a clean record, strong communication skills, flexibility for extended hours, and the ability to pass background and physical examinations are also required. The position demands physical capability to stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lb, as well as the ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Employees must obtain medical clearance, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and be insured to operate company vehicles. • Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience. • Possess EI/EIT and ACI Field Level I certifications and a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and flexibility for extended hours. • Meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lb and working in extreme temperatures.
