About the Role

The Sr. Superintendent is responsible for directing field operations, managing completion schedules and labor budgets, and overseeing any specialty department work. Safety is a core value, and the superintendent must promote and exemplify safe work practices while supervising field team members and subcontractors to achieve timely, successful project completion. The role also involves establishing collaborative relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval schedules. • Develop and manage manpower schedules and working budgets based on estimates. • Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving issues, and applying quality and safety controls. • Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to maintain profitability and customer satisfaction. • Ensure customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting client needs. • Lead teams through communication, encouragement, good judgment, and active listening. • Mentor and coach other Pepper Construction supervisors. • Motivate others and take initiative on site. • Educate all parties on the importance of safety. • Represent the company professionally to clients, architects, engineers, officials, and inspectors to earn respect. • Conduct all interactions in a professional manner.

What You Bring

Candidates should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, have 15 + years of field supervision experience, and have independently completed nine or more projects. Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to coach and mentor other supervisors are essential. Pepper Construction is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
