About the Role

The Project Engineer – Transmission Line role supports QISG’s transmission line teams, which design, build, maintain, and upgrade high‑voltage infrastructure that forms the backbone of the electric grid. The engineer oversees detailed design, provides engineering support for EPC proposals, and applies civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering expertise to high‑voltage substation and transmission line projects. • Oversee projects from planning through design, permitting, construction support, and close‑out. • Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations and transmission lines. • Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule while delivering cost‑effective solutions. • Verify compliance with local, state, federal, environmental, and safety regulations. • Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to achieve successful delivery. • Manage quality‑control procedures to maintain high workmanship and material standards. • Prepare and maintain detailed project status reports, engineering documentation, and records. • Provide technical expertise in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering for high‑voltage projects. • Support EPC proposals with engineering analyses.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a B.S. or graduate degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, possess at least five years of utility industry experience with high‑voltage projects, and hold a Professional Engineer license. They need strong technical knowledge across structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, familiarity with utility standards and codes, proficiency with industry software, and demonstrated communication and leadership abilities. • Travel up to 10‑20% as required.
