About the Role
Assist with applying, removing, and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to control noise and maintain temperatures. Support insulation of buildings, tanks, vessels, boilers, steam and hot water pipes, cold or chilled water pipes, and other mechanical components. Perform work in additional crafts as appropriate and follow direction from higher‑skilled workers or foremen. The position involves physically demanding tasks, including long shifts, climbing, lifting, and working in varied temperatures and confined spaces while adhering to all safety standards and wearing required personal protective equipment. • Produce high‑quality, safe, and productive work. • Ensure required materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Identify and suggest improvements to tasks and methods. • Learn and understand safety hazards associated with the work. • Safely operate work‑related tools and equipment. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, storage, and idle time. • Consult a supervisor when uncertain about safety or work practices. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts involving hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Climb and balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.

What You Bring
Candidates are expected to bring relevant experience in industrial or commercial construction and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. • Apply basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • 1‑2 years experience in industrial/commercial construction with general craft knowledge. • NCCER Core Curriculum certification and/or high school diploma or equivalent (preferred). • Effective verbal and written communication abilities. • Frequent use of hands for grasping, lifting, handling, carrying, or feeling objects. • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below waist; occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Wear required PPE (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
