Job Highlights
About the Role
Each day you will diagnose and repair a wide range of diesel and CNG trucks, using modern tools and procedures to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll also respond to emergency breakdowns, perform safety inspections, and document all work according to WM’s standards. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics on project work • Review and address repairs identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with OSHA standards

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of relevant diesel‑mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Applicants must also meet the physical demands of the job and successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical. • Minimum 2 years relevant diesel mechanic experience • Valid driver’s license with clean record • Age 18+ and legal U.S. work eligibility • Ability to meet physical demands; pass drug screen and physical • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Determined problem solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; standing, walking, grasping • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, noise, and weather extremes • Work both indoors (garage/shop) and outdoors in inclement conditions
