About the Role

Chemists work on customer locations providing chemical management, packaging, and disposal services for both hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. • Conduct routine inspections/audits of customer compliance with hazmat storage, waste management, and occupational safety regulations. • Handle, classify, segregate, label, and package hazardous and non‑hazardous materials per Federal and State regulations. • Train laboratory and production staff on proper chemical handling, storage techniques, and relevant environmental laws. • Respond to emergency chemical spills and perform cleanup duties. • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste to and from customer sites. • Consolidate hazardous materials/waste through bulking and repackaging. • Provide expert knowledge on government regulations, health and safety practices, and proper disposal methods to customers.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license within 90 days, and satisfy health and safety pre‑employment requirements, including OSHA HAZWOPER training. • Experience in hazardous waste classification, lab pack segregation, and waste handling. • Working knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. • Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license within 90 days of hire. • Capability to safely use all levels of PPE, including air‑purifying respirators. • Successful completion of pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol testing, background screening, auto insurance qualifiers, and OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour training.
