About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate all manufacturing engineering activities within the organization. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and implementing efficiency improvements while leading a team of manufacturing engineers. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential to achieve production goals and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing and refining manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. The manager will supervise and mentor engineers, establish production schedules with planning teams, and identify cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising safety. They will also stay current with manufacturing technologies, implement new tools and machinery, manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with design, R&D, and supply‑chain groups throughout product development. • Develop and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs. • Supervise, mentor, and train a team of manufacturing engineers. • Collaborate with production, planning, design, R&D, and supply‑chain teams to align schedules and product development. • Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising quality or safety. • Lead adoption of new manufacturing technologies, tools, and equipment. • Assess manufacturing risks and create mitigation strategies. • Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. • Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and track key performance indicators. • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, CAD, and other manufacturing software tools. • Manage projects to deliver on time and within budget.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering and at least five years of industrial manufacturing experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities, along with technical expertise in manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, CAD, and continuous‑improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data‑driven decision‑making, and proven project‑management skills are also essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lb and standing or walking for most of the shift, as well as periodic visits to manufacturing facilities that may involve extreme temperatures, dust, and chemical fumes. Travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
