About the Role
Within the Environment & Water practice, multidisciplinary teams support water and wastewater utilities to address climate change, net‑zero, water scarcity and environmental protection, covering the full project lifecycle from cost estimating to commercial assurance for programmes ranging from a few hundred thousand pounds to over £0.5 bn. • Support water companies in delivering large capital programmes and improving the environment. • Provide commercial support for major projects or programmes of works. • Advise and assist the Project Manager with contractual obligations and commercial queries. • Process and assess payment applications, liaising with consultants and contractors. • Conduct periodic commercial checks and due‑diligence alongside the Project Manager. • Monitor and update consultant/contractor estimates to completion. • Review, negotiate and recommend acceptance of final accounts. • Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and standard documentation such as reports and valuations.

What You Bring
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying. • Experience with NEC and other target‑cost or cost‑reimbursable contracts. • Proven delivery experience within a cost consultancy or main contractor environment. • Strong contract management skills and experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Pre‑ and post‑contract experience working in collaborative teams. • Willingness to travel to client sites, including occasional overnight stays.
