What You Bring
The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) will learn to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, and control systems in a complex fulfillment and distribution center. The apprenticeship combines classroom instruction, laboratory work, and on‑the‑job learning (OJL) over a 12‑week college program at one of four partner schools, followed by one year of OJL at the home site. Successful completion leads to promotion to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician. • Communicate effectively within team settings both in school and on‑the‑job. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old. • Achieve the required Mechanical Aptitude Test score and enroll in a 12‑week college training program. • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Preferred: prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls fields. • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and using aerial lifts. • Wear required personal protective equipment such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite‑toe shoes.
