About the Role
The Engineering Co‑op Student will provide mechanical and/or electrical design support for new components and products, as well as improvements to existing ones. This role translates high‑level concepts from design engineers into detailed part drawings and specifications, while leading testing activities. • Perform testing to support customer requests and inquiries • Support manufacturing design or process change requests • Use and interpret analytical and test equipment • Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams • Execute design and documentation for development projects • Lead design change investigations and assume additional responsibilities • Create test plans with mechanical design teams • Manage 3‑D printer operations, including file loading, material handling, and maintenance • Document layout, detail, and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and design records

What You Bring
The Co‑op will gain hands‑on experience with motor design principles, work on test plans with the mechanical design team, and collaborate with global cross‑functional groups. Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing design changes, using analytical equipment, and documenting design records. Candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Required skills include basic SolidWorks 3‑D modeling, strong communication, critical‑thinking, self‑direction, and a positive, can‑do attitude. • Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering with a GPA of 3.0+ • Basic SolidWorks 3‑D modeling knowledge • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills • High attention to detail and critical‑thinking abilities • Self‑directed work ethic with a positive, can‑do attitude • Ability to create action plans and prioritize time and resources effectively
