About the Role

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding data for stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Compile built‑cost records to support benchmarking and continuous improvement. • Lead procurement strategy, pricing reviews, scope validation and commercial negotiations. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement. • Own change control: review, estimate, negotiate and reconcile change orders and post‑contract variances. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, contingency management and commitment tracking. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost with schedule and scope, working closely with project controls teams. • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact and lead value‑engineering initiatives. • Monitor market trends such as escalation, labor availability and material pricing. • Serve as primary client interface to ensure objectives are met and service excellence delivered. • Prepare and present executive‑level updates and comment on contractor submissions. • Ensure compliance with internal business management systems and delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members to foster a high‑performance culture. • Track financial performance, including margin tracking and monthly fee/resource forecasts. • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities.

What You Bring

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to be the key client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. The role is responsible for delivering value‑added cost‑management services, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with a strong focus on governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. The position is based in Dallas or Houston, with an initial remote work period before transitioning to onsite work in the selected Texas location. Travel to New Albany, OH is required approximately one to two times per month. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field. • 5‑7+ years of cost management/project controls experience in mission‑critical environments. • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred. • Deep knowledge of MEP systems, resilience requirements and campus‑scale data‑center infrastructure. • Strong foundation in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control and Earned Value Management. • Expertise in procurement strategies and commercial management of contractor/vendor contracts. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is advantageous. • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. • High analytical ability, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency with industry‑standard cost management tools and software.
