About the Role

• Execute high-quality FCAW welding on structural steel. • Set up and adjust welding equipment for each task. • Weld in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. • Fabricate, drill, grind, and assemble bridge girder components per specifications. • Use tools, clamps, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Deliver quality, accurate, thorough, and reliable work.

What You Bring

As a Welder at Veritas Steel you will play a vital role in producing bridge girder components, performing welding, fabricating, drilling, grinding and assembly operations with precision and attention to detail while meeting high production demands; applicants must be at least 18 years old. Work is performed in a large indoor warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions, often requiring climbing heights and exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and heavy steel. Safety is a top priority, and the company provides extensive training and mandatory PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots, and respirators for specific tasks. • Have 1+ year welding experience; FCAW required. • Lift up to 75 lb occasionally and push/move up to 100 lb. • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, and work at heights with full range of motion. • Work indoors in a warehouse or outdoors in all weather; may require climbing. • Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and heavy steel; required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, steel‑toed boots, and respirator for certain operations.

Benefits

Welder starting pay ranges from $24.57 to $28.05 per hour, paid weekly, with shift options: 1st shift 5 AM–4:20 PM Mon‑Thurs, 2nd shift 4:30 PM–4:30 AM Mon‑Thurs, and weekend shift 5 AM–5 PM Fri‑Sun. Employees receive double‑time pay after 50 hours in a week.
