About the Role

In this role you will receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, contact customer representatives, and diagnose equipment or system malfunctions. You will repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building products on‑site, follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures, and reference technical manuals and bulletins. Reading blueprints, diagrams, and specifications is required, as is providing excellent customer service and obtaining customer signatures on completed work. The position involves panel programming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing. You will organize technical resources, parts, and support to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining clear documentation through smartphones or laptops. After‑hours and on‑call rotation are required, and you will provide recommendations, quotes, and upselling opportunities to improve facility efficiency. • Respond to service calls, diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm and related building systems on‑site. • Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference technical manuals, change notices, and bulletins. • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals. • Provide excellent customer service, communicate regularly with district staff, and obtain customer signatures on completed work. • Document service acknowledgements using smartphones or laptops with proper coding. • Participate in on‑call rotation and mentor fellow service team members. • Perform panel programming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing. • Organize technical resources, parts, and tools to ensure efficient task execution. • Offer recommendations, quotes, and upselling opportunities to improve facility efficiency. • Maintain truck inventory and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least four years of documented experience with low‑voltage electrical systems, including fire/life safety, access control, nurse call, and paging systems. The ability to read blueprints, use test equipment, and perform physical labor up to 50‑70 lbs is essential, as is a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility to work weekends, strong customer‑service skills, and adherence to safety guidelines are required, with NICET Level II certification strongly preferred. • Possess 4+ years experience with fire/life safety, access control, nurse call, and paging systems. • Hold NICET Level II certification (preferred) and a valid driver’s license.
