About the Role
The BIM/CAD Technician role supports highway design packages through drafting assignments and related activities. Reporting to the Roads Digital Design & Delivery Lead and collaborating with engineering leads and senior drafters, the technician ensures project compliance with policies, standards, and timely delivery. Applicants are encouraged to apply online, and Parsons provides resources to identify fraudulent recruitment practices. • Collaborate with Roads Digital Design & Delivery Lead, engineering leads, and senior drafter to ensure policy compliance and timely project completion. • Create engineering drawings (arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details) from sketches and design data following standards. • Manage BIM modeling activities from project startup through completion, adhering to LOD requirements. • Review drawings for readability, presentation, and QA/QC adherence. • Develop parametric and non‑parametric families and maintain content creation standards. • Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve model coordination issues. • Perform clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks and generate clash reports. • Produce scheduling data and quantity extracts directly from the BIM model.

What You Bring
• Hold a diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience in roads/highways, road signs, marking, and traffic studies within MEA/UAE. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (mandatory). • Experience with ProjectWise and BIM360/ACC as common data environments. • Strong understanding of BIM processes and LOD requirements. • Clear communication skills in English. • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads is preferable. • Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection is desirable.
