About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in line with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems. This role supports the site's business goals by ensuring equipment reliability and efficient operation. Day‑to‑day duties involve performing regular equipment checks, documenting maintenance activities, and collaborating with other departments to coordinate tasks while minimizing production downtime. The technician also assists with new equipment installations and provides support during start‑ups. • Maintain and repair plant manufacturing equipment using blueprints, schematics, multimeters, and specialty tools. • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machinery operation. • Coordinate maintenance tasks with other departments to minimize production disruption. • Communicate with service technicians and suppliers to troubleshoot equipment issues. • Assist with installation and start‑up of new equipment. • Conduct basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs. • Record preventive and predictive maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance database. • Propose and implement process improvement ideas. • Complete miscellaneous work assignments as directed. • Prioritize safety in all maintenance activities. • Make sound decisions and see projects through from start to finish. • Handle extended hours, off‑shift call‑in repairs, and periodic weekend work as needed. • Use MS Office and other computer tools for documentation and reporting.

They possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, solid decision‑making skills, and are willing to work extended hours, off‑shifts, and weekend calls as business needs arise. • Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. • Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuits, frequency drives, soft starters, motor starters, PCs, and PLCs. • Utilize experience with welders, pneumatics, hydraulics, vertical saws, plasma cutters, lasers, press brakes, formers, folders, and cranes. • Communicate technical information clearly in both verbal and written formats.
