About the Role

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, drawings, and schedules to understand scope. • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other expenses. • Use industry‑standard software (McCormick, Bluebeam) to generate precise estimates. • Collaborate with bid team to develop compliant bid proposals. • Participate in bid meetings and presentations, explaining pricing rationale. • Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing. • Develop and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships. • Prepare regular reports on cost tracking and estimating accuracy. • Work with Engineering and Project Management to clarify ambiguities and gather information. • Share insights and best practices to improve estimating capabilities.

What You Bring

• Minimum 8 years electrical estimating experience. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. • Proven electrical estimator background in construction, especially electrical systems installations. • Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, materials, and methodologies. • Familiarity with estimating software (McCormack, Bluebeam). • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and detail‑orientation skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. • Knowledge of local construction market and regulations (advantageous). • Highly motivated team player with practical construction knowledge (new & renovation).
