Job Highlights
About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb. Roles include commercial, residential, and roll‑off drivers, each requiring navigation of high‑traffic roads, driveways, alleyways, and skilled backing maneuvers. Drivers must adhere to WM safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations, complete vehicle inspections, and communicate any hazards or service interruptions to management. They also participate in training, work to improve route efficiency, and ensure customer sites are left clean after dumping. • Operate vehicle in accordance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation • Report unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately • Attend and participate in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices • Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage • Inform Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions such as closed streets or heavy receptacles • Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch • Fully dump receptacles and leave the customer site clean and free of debris • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out process • Perform duties as scheduled and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs

What You Bring
Applicants need at least one year of CDL‑type driving experience (or recent military driving), be 18 or older, legally authorized to work, and hold a valid Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • At least 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years • Minimum age of 18 and legally eligible to work in the country of employment • Hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL with air‑brake endorsement • High School Diploma or GED (preferred) • Walking • Lifting • Handling
