About the Role

The engineer will lead civil design for data center sites, including master planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure, and will produce construction documents, reports, specifications, and site plans. They will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct site visits, ensure code compliance, and support cost estimating and scheduling. • Lead civil engineering design for data center developments (site layout, master planning, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway infrastructure). • Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, technical specifications, and civil site plan sets. • Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems. • Develop erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans; support permitting approvals. • Coordinate with structural, electrical, geotechnical, and surveying teams. • Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits to verify progress. • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. • Support cost estimating, scheduling, and overall project planning. • Mentor junior engineers and maintain quality assurance across deliverables.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, have at least five years of relevant experience with data center and land development projects, and possess or be able to obtain a PE license within six months. Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of hydrology, stormwater management, and utility systems are required, along with excellent communication and the ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, including data center facilities and land development. • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months. • Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and related civil design tools. • Strong understanding of hydrology, grading, stormwater management, and utility systems. • Experience coordinating with local jurisdictions, permitting agencies, and utility providers. • Excellent communication, organization, and client‑facing skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
