About the Role
• Lead and manage mid‑ to large‑size transportation projects throughout their lifecycle. • Provide specialized technical input for transportation studies and designs. • Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients. • Perform quality‑control reviews of team deliverables. • Contribute to technical proposals for new projects. • Estimate engineering budgets and schedules for large projects. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes. • Mentor junior staff and foster a growth‑oriented environment. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations, and industry standards. • Coordinate with government agencies, stakeholders, and the public for approvals. • Implement risk‑management strategies to mitigate project issues. • Analyze traffic patterns, capacity needs, and safety considerations for design decisions. • Oversee preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents. • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management and clients.

What You Bring
• BS/BA with 10 years of experience (or equivalent education/experience). • Minimum 8 years in transportation engineering and project management. • Proven track record managing complex roadway/highway projects. • Registered Professional Engineer in Idaho (or ability to obtain within 1 year). • Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation, and InRoads design software. • Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices. • Ability to adapt to new technologies and innovative engineering approaches. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
