BAS Systems Application Engineer II
Design, program, commission, and support building automation control systems.

About the Role
The employee works under the daily supervision of a Project Manager and reports to an Engineering or Software Manager. Collaboration with project teams is a core part of the role. • Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission DDC building automation systems. • Configure, program, and customize control systems to meet project specifications. • Create software programs and front‑end graphics for building automation. • Perform system diagnostics, analyze problems, and recommend performance enhancements. • Provide customer training and prepare close‑out documentation. • Deliver technical support and guidance to end‑users and internal teams. • Lead programming efforts on medium to large projects (2‑4 years experience required). • Work independently with third parties such as TAB, IT engineers, commissioning agents, and equipment vendors. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in submittals and contract drawings. • Configure BAS LAN components (switches, routers, controllers, gateways, firewalls). • Set up and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, and LON communication networks.

What You Bring
The role is for a System Application Engineer – Building Controls, based in either Houston, TX or Austin, TX. The engineer works independently, makes decisive decisions, and is an expert programmer of building automation systems. Passion for driving innovation in building automation is essential. This position does not provide sponsorship for any work permit or visa. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. • Demonstrate expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Siemens, or Johnson Controls systems.
