What You Bring

The Combo Welder is trained in multiple welding processes, including arc welding and oxy‑fuel welding, and must be able to set up equipment to weld pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas‑shielded arc, or gas welding equipment. Work is performed from blueprints, sketches, and specifications, with an emphasis on producing quality work efficiently. Certification will be obtained as necessary, and the welder must understand all related safety hazards and operate tools safely in plant operations or construction job‑site settings. The role requires significant physical stamina, including the ability to lift or carry up to 50 lb regularly (occasionally up to 100 lb), climb, balance on scaffolds, and work in adverse weather, uneven terrain, or confined spaces. Effective communication, attention to detail, and decision‑making skills are essential for safe collaboration with management and supervisors. The welder must also be capable of using a variety of hand and power tools, and maintain focus amid distractions and varying work tempos. • Lift, push, or pull up to 50‑100 lb and navigate uneven, muddy, or confined work environments. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and work safely under varying weather conditions.
