About the Role

We are seeking an Airside Safety Officer based in Dallas, Texas, who will oversee safety performance and development for assigned business units and direct reports. The role serves as a safety resource across project, business unit, and corporate levels, regularly assessing the safety needs of airport/airside projects and contributing to the DFW‑DCC safety program and culture. The officer will manage workloads, conduct performance reviews, assess training needs, and mentor team members while overseeing outside consultants. Core duties include evaluating hazard and incident data, setting inspection criteria, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading OSHA and third‑party inspections, and responding to crises or incidents. Additional responsibilities cover developing toolbox talks, safety orientations, job hazard analyses, and maintaining monthly safety summaries. • Manage direct‑report workloads and recommend staffing based on project volume • Conduct regular check‑ins and annual performance evaluations • Assess and deliver training to meet safety and development needs • Mentor operations on safety inspection processes • Evaluate hazard and incident data to identify trends and implement corrective actions • Set safety inspection criteria, measure performance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and client regulations • Lead OSHA and third‑party safety inspections independently • Coordinate crisis, accident, and incident response and investigations • Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and job hazard analyses • Maintain and distribute monthly safety summary reports for assigned projects • Act as primary safety point of contact for DFW‑DCC projects and subcontractors • Oversee subcontractor safety performance and pre‑construction meetings • Research and apply current and future OSHA regulations to project needs • Identify and procure special safety or protective equipment as required • Collaborate with corporate Risk Management team on safety initiatives

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BA/BS in safety or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience, and possess a valid motor‑vehicle check. Preferred qualifications include CHST or CSP designation, First Aid/CPR certification, and OSHA 10, 30, or 500 training. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently under varied environmental conditions. • BA/BS in safety or related field with minimum 6 years experience • CHST, CSP, or equivalent professional safety designation preferred • OSHA 10, 30 hour (construction) and OSHA 500 certifications preferred • First Aid/CPR certification • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills • Ability to work independently under varied site and environmental conditions
