About the Role
The Inside Sales Representative role combines sales support, administrative coordination, and technical assistance. The position supports the outside sales team by identifying opportunities, reviewing project specifications and drawings, contributing to proposal development, and managing internal booking processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically inclined, and able to collaborate across departments in a fast‑paced environment. Core duties include researching bid opportunities on online platforms, collaborating with outside sales to perform take‑offs and interpret engineering drawings, and assembling complete proposal packages with technical references and compliance documents. The representative also coordinates the internal booking process for awarded projects, acts as a liaison between sales, design, operations, and finance teams, and handles customer communications to ensure timely documentation and issue resolution. Continuous improvement of sales tools, templates, and processes, as well as participation in ad‑hoc initiatives, are also expected. • Research and track bid opportunities via online platforms and construction databases. • Review project specifications, perform take‑offs, and interpret engineering drawings to support estimates. • Assemble proposal documentation, technical references, and compliance materials into formatted packages. • Coordinate the internal booking process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required documents. • Serve as liaison between outside sales and internal teams (design, operations, finance) for alignment and hand‑offs. • Communicate with customers to follow up on documentation, clarify requests, and troubleshoot issues. • Improve sales support tools, templates, and processes; participate in ad‑hoc initiatives.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications require a high‑school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience supporting sales or performing inside‑sales/administrative duties, preferably within the building automation or HVAC mechanical industry, along with proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred qualifications include the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, comfort collaborating with remote teams, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting. Experience with design/estimating or CRM tools such as Bluebeam or Salesforce is considered an asset. • Meet basic qualifications: high‑school diploma/GED and 2+ years sales or administrative experience in building automation/HVAC. • Demonstrate preferred skills: reading engineering drawings, strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, cross‑department collaboration, and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment. • Utilize Microsoft Office proficiently; experience with Bluebeam, Salesforce, or similar CRM/estimating tools is a plus.

Benefits
The role offers a base salary range of $71,500 to $121,500, with potential additional incentive compensation based on individual and company performance. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage, retirement plans with possible RRSP matching, paid vacation, sick leave, personal leave, holidays, parental and family leave, and tax‑advantaged accounts such as Health Savings Accounts.
