About the Role

• Maintain accurate daily diary entries documenting construction progress and contract documentation. • Maintain daily photographic and video records of site activities. • Keep records of completed work for tracking bid items and material quantities for payment. • Conduct daily inspections per client requirements and established standards. • Ensure construction work complies with contract documents and specifications. • Monitor contractor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Supervise and implement quality assurance inspections of construction works. • Report construction progress against schedule, noting delays or impacts. • Report onsite activities, concerns, and non-conformances to Project Manager with recommendations. • Support project coordination for management and design teams. • Liaise with client representatives as required.

What You Bring

• Post‑secondary degree/diploma in Civil Engineering or related large‑infrastructure construction experience. • Minimum 5 years of construction field engineering experience. • Eligibility for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist. • Experience inspecting heavy civil infrastructure (highways, bridges, buildings, railroads). • Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and undertake extended travel/on‑site remote work. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to organize, prioritize, schedule work and solve problems. • Experience with GPS or Total Station surveying (asset). • Valid driver’s license with good record and reliable vehicle. • High school diploma or equivalent (or 8 years relevant construction inspection experience). • Minimum 3 years of experience. • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Proven problem‑solving and documentation abilities. • Ability to work independently and within a team.
