About the Role
The Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers within an assigned territory, while also expanding account penetration by selling Republic Services’ full suite of products. In this role, the manager builds long-term customer loyalty, stays knowledgeable about the company’s services, pricing structures, and offers additional solutions as appropriate. They handle contract renewals, respond to cancellation requests, and communicate pricing initiatives, using Salesforce daily to log calls, meetings, and proposals. Collaboration with the sales manager, operations team, and participation in community events supports service quality and brand visibility. • Preserve and grow existing commercial/industrial waste customer relationships. • Conduct contract renewals to extend agreements and boost profitability. • Respond promptly to cancellation requests per escalation policy. • Promote Republic Services’ full product suite to increase account penetration. • Document all sales activities in Salesforce (calls, meetings, proposals). • Collaborate with operations to resolve service issues. • Engage in community events, trade shows, and chambers of commerce to raise brand visibility. • Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review retention metrics and goal progress.

What You Bring
