What You Bring
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will join the engineering team to advance autonomous unmanned aerial systems, supporting prototyping, testing, data collection, and cross‑functional coordination. The 12‑week internship is based at Firestorm’s headquarters in San Diego and offers hands‑on experience in an accelerated development environment. • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field • U.S. Person status (Citizen or Permanent Resident) required due to ITAR regulations • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and projects • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment • Experience in project coordination or support • Ability to operate in fast paced, iterative development environments • Technical background in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering preferred • Hands‑on experience with lab equipment, prototyping, or assembly work is a plus • Familiarity with DoD or aerospace environments
