About the Role
The Business Analyst role supports the financial activities of a large school construction program in Monterey Park, CA, serving as a visible, high‑impact position that helps shape the educational future of the Los Angeles community. The position offers ample opportunity to engage with and influence both internal teams and external vendors. • Serve as subject‑matter expert for department systems, integration, and implementation projects. • Reconcile financial accounts and reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses, addressing issues. • Manage accruals, journal entries, debit/credit memos, and related approval routing. • Approve and release invoices according to accounting procedures. • Review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments; liaise with construction and professional services vendors. • Assist in general contractor payment analysis. • Collaborate with accounting and other departments on bond compliance and related assignments. • Evaluate bond compliance for accounting, reporting, and invoice payments.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. • 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related areas. • Experience with enterprise or accounting systems and historical trend analysis. • Ability to create and analyze monthly financial reports. • Strong independent and team work capabilities in fast‑paced environments. • Effective communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels. • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Ability to lead projects to successful conclusion. • Prior experience with Costpoint or Proliance software preferred. • Prior construction‑industry experience preferred.

The full‑time salary range for this role is $75,000 – $100,000 per year, with compensation determined by experience, skills, and client requirements.
