About the Role
The Senior Wayside & On‑Board Service Engineer will support CBTC subsystems on metro projects, performing maintenance under an annual contract to ensure system availability. The role is based in Noida with the expectation to relocate between sites as business needs dictate. • Execute on‑site maintenance per contractual KPIs and system checklists. • Provide expert‑level support to NMRC staff for routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. • Supervise maintenance activities and troubleshoot failures. • Coordinate with CBTC design team and overseas product experts for critical issue resolution and root‑cause analysis. • Analyze failures, generate reports, and communicate business updates. • Download and analyze ZC, front‑am, and CC logs to resolve errors and warnings. • Verify system configuration, upload software updates, and maintain CBTC wayside and onboard systems. • Reboot servers/machines according to schedule and ensure proper documentation of work. • Follow Metro rail safety permits and conduct safety checks after maintenance. • Perform shift and emergency duties, providing 24×7 telephonic support as required. • Monitor daily maintenance performance and produce technical reports for the client. • Manage stock availability and activate repair processes.

What You Bring
• Minimum 5 years (degree) or 7 years (diploma) experience in CBTC systems for metro/rail signalling. • In‑depth knowledge of wayside and onboard CBTC equipment such as CC, BTM modules, front‑am, ZC, and balises. • Familiarity with power‑supply equipment and connectors used in automatic train control (ATC) systems. • Basic understanding of switches and communication networks. • Strong client‑facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work under pressure with efficient troubleshooting. • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
