About the Role

The Operations Director sits on the Oak Specialist Services Board and, together with the Commercial Director, is jointly accountable for performance, governance and safe delivery of all operational output. The role provides both strategic direction and hands‑on leadership across project delivery, design management, safety governance, supply‑chain performance and operational risk management. It ensures projects are executed efficiently, safely and profitably while upholding the highest technical standards in façade remediation. • Contribute to board-level strategy, governance, risk management and decision‑making. • Define and implement operational strategy aligned with growth and governance requirements. • Lead delivery across the full project portfolio to ensure excellence and client satisfaction. • Share responsibility for margin improvement, risk control, overhead management and accurate forecasting. • Promote a culture of safety, integrity, accountability and continuous improvement. • Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery from pre‑construction to handover and after‑care. • Ensure façade remediation complies with Building Safety Regulator and technical specifications. • Drive design coordination, technical assurance and buildability reviews with design teams. • Lead Operations Management and Site Delivery teams, fostering high performance. • Manage operational planning, resourcing and workforce deployment across UK projects. • Accountable for health, safety and environmental performance across operations. • Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act, CDM, fire safety legislation and façade standards. • Maintain senior relationships with clients, consultants, regulators and supply‑chain partners. • Address escalations promptly to protect client relationships and commercial outcomes. • Support Commercial Director on margin protection, cash‑flow, forecasting and cost discipline. • Oversee procurement strategy and supply‑chain engagement to meet operational needs. • Drive operational efficiency, waste reduction and productivity improvements. • Lead development of operational, design‑management and site‑delivery teams with clear objectives. • Promote succession planning, talent acquisition and training for façade‑specific competencies.
