About the Role
A typical day involves servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment, performing warranty work and start‑up services, and commissioning Schneider VFDs. Technicians also test, calibrate, adjust, and replace components, construct and test circuits using computers and test instruments, and provide on‑site technical support, product training, and audits. They support a broad range of Schneider equipment, including switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, power monitoring devices, and protective relays, while documenting all site activities in technical reports. Occasionally, field reps analyze complex equipment problems, develop and implement design modifications, and deliver training courseware to customers and fellow service representatives. Travel is required for both training and to meet job site requirements in various locations. • Service, install, and repair customer equipment, including variable frequency drives. • Perform warranty work, start‑up services, and commissioning of Schneider VFDs. • Test, calibrate, adjust, and replace components on drive products and related circuits. • Construct and test electrical circuits using computers, workstations, diagrams, and test instruments. • Provide on‑site technical support, product training, and audits for Schneider solutions. • Support additional Schneider equipment such as switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS, PLCs, HMIs, and protective relays. • Document site activities and generate technical reports. • Analyze complex equipment issues, develop design modifications, and implement installation support. • Create and deliver training courseware to customers and fellow service representatives. • Travel as needed to customer sites and training locations.

What You Bring
Candidates should have vocational, military, or comparable education in electronics or electrical theory, and at least two years of mechanical, electrical, or power distribution service experience. Experience with variable frequency drives, strong report‑writing and presentation skills, proficiency in calculations and problem‑solving, and the ability to interpret blueprints and electrical drawings are essential. Physical capability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds is also required. • Vocational, military, or similar education in electronics/electrical theory. • Minimum 2 years of mechanical/electrical/power distribution service experience. • Hands‑on experience with variable frequency drives. • Strong report‑writing and presentation skills for managers, clients, and customers. • Ability to perform calculations (percentages, area, volume, etc.) and draw valid conclusions. • Proficiency in testing, maintenance, or upgrades of LV/MV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control systems. • Competence interpreting blueprints and electrical drawings. • Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lb.
