About the Role
• Operate vehicle per WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Immediately report unsafe situations or service issues to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend all required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Notify the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Report service interruptions such as closed streets, heavy receptacles, or hazards to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out process. • Perform duties as scheduled and assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities once the legal load capacity is reached. Commercial drivers provide pick‑up service for containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds, maneuvering them into staging areas, while residential drivers collect household waste and must safely navigate driveways, alleys, and congested streets. Roll‑off drivers prepare, load, and move large open‑top and compactor containers, often working in tight overhead environments on industrial routes. All driver types require highly skilled backing maneuvers and the ability to operate safely in high‑traffic, congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots. The position involves physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • Minimum one year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last seven years. • Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the country. • Hold a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with an air‑brake endorsement. • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Pay Range: $20.00/hr + DOE. Shift: Mon/Tue 4:30 a, Wed 4:45 a, Thu/Fri 5:00 a.
