About the Role

A typical day includes pre‑site preparation, equipment startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications. The Representative works closely with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams to solve problems and complete service documentation. Travel may be required throughout the region or nationally, sometimes involving overnight stays. Additional duties include assisting senior technicians, supporting project management on larger system start‑ups, collaborating with other FSRs on complex projects, and acting on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on company and third‑party equipment. • Collaborate with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams to solve problems. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs, and startup data sheets. • Travel regionally and occasionally nationally, including overnight trips, to support customers. • Assist senior technicians and project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals; utilize test and diagnostic equipment. • Follow safety procedures (lockout/tagout, NFPA‑70E/OSHA), report hazards, and maintain safe driving practices.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold an Associate’s degree, trade or vocational certification, military training, or comparable electrical‑related experience, and be able to read blueprints and schematics. A thorough understanding of AC and DC power principles, supply circuit components, and at least two years of field service repair with UPS, power distribution, ATS, or related equipment is required. Safety is a priority; applicants must follow lockout/tagout procedures, NFPA‑70E or OSHA guidelines, and report hazards, incidents, or near‑misses. The role also demands safe driving, use of test and diagnostic equipment, and the ability to write clear service reports and correspondences. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping, and working in extreme weather, heat, cold, rain, dust, or confined spaces while standing for extended periods.
